The company Eltek Motors started under the technical guidance of Mr. P. Ramachandran, a well qualified Electrical Engineer at a small scale industrial unit at Goregaon (e) Mumbai to manufacture small Fan motors, shaded pole motors and motor parts.

Started manufacturing small FHP special purpose Electrical motors in single and three phase

1982

Started Manufacturing integral worm geared motors and face mounted inline shaft geared motor in 1phase and 3 phase

1983
As a part of Expansion plan, constructed  a new factory building with name and style
Eltek Equipment (Bombay) Pvt. Ltd. with a built up area of 7500 sq meters and started manufacturing 
DC shunt , series and compoud wound and DC worm geared motors.

For the technical convenience of Eltek Motor merged with Eltek Equipment (Bombay) pvt. Ltd.

Introduced Hollow Shaft motors for stirrers and agitators.
